About the role
Lead the site supervision team on a new construction contract in Muscat, as the consultant's resident engineer on site. Omani nationals are encouraged to apply.
What you’ll do
- Lead the consultant's site team and run the site office day to day
- Administer the contract under FIDIC: instructions, variations, claims and payment certificates
- Review and approve method statements, material submittals and shop drawings
- Make sure inspections and testing follow the approved plans, and close out NCRs
- Chair progress meetings and report to the client on programme, quality and safety
What you’ll need
- Degree in civil engineering
- At least 15 years' experience, much of it on site, including resident engineer roles in the GCC
- Working knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract
- Confident with method statements, material approval submittals (MAS), inspection and test plans, inspection requests and NCRs
- Eligible for registration with the Oman Society of Engineers
